Opera Company of Philadelphia is announcing more than new programming this week: In addition to a 2012-2013 season that includes old favorites such as Puccini's La Bohème and the local premiere of Thomas Adès' Powder Her Face, the opera company is taking note of sweeping internal developments that will affect what happens onstage.

MONROE — Friday was a landmark day of celebration for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, which opened the doors to the Samuel & Josephine Plumeri Wishing Place — a 20,000-square-foot castle on Perrineville Road unlike any other building in America.

As nail-biters go, the Giants’ second defeat of the Patriots in the Super Bowl will go down as a classic. The game had everything from a rare Super Bowl safety on New England’s first possession to a failed Hail Mary end zone pass by Tom Brady, which sealed victory for the Giants.
